Dr. Brenda Rambo Dr. Rambo received her doctoral degree from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College in Human Development Counseling, and has practiced as a psychologist for 24 years. She received broad and diverse training doing her internship and working in a community mental setting for several years.
Dr. Rambo established Rambo &
Associates twenty years ago with offices in Shelbyville,
Clarksville, and Brentwood, Tennessee. By the end of the 1990s she
was ready for a professional change and started to downsize the
practice and worked only as a sole practitioner. In early 2001 she
had an opportunity to teach graduate students at a large southern
university as adjunct professor and was hired the next year as a
full-time assistant professor, primarily teaching graduate students
in the psychology department. She stayed in this position for
several years, and recently returned to full-time private practice,
which is and has always been her passion. Her office is located in
Brentwood.

Rambo & Associates, PLLC Dr. Brenda Rambo practices under RAMBO & ASSOCIATES, PLLC, and performs all psychological services under this corporation. Rambo & Associates services include individual therapy to men, women, children/teenagers, and couples/families. Dr. Rambo conducts First Responder preemployment psychological evaluations for police, fire, and sheriffs departments. Rambo & Associates currently works with 22 law enforcement agencies in Middle Tennessee. In conjunction with a local family practice physician, Dr. Rambo established a Reclaiming Your Health wellness program that encourages people to lose weight and regain their health by establishing healthy lifestyles. Simple healthy nutrition is encouraged with a basic exercise plan recommended by their physician. Lifestyle counseling provides information and accountability as participants create their own goals and lose weight, thus reclaiming their health.
Dr. Rambo is also the president of Life Transformations, Inc., a Christian ministry that promotes prayer through television, book sales, conferences, workshops, and prayer groups. Prayer Activation is a grassroots movement to establish prayer groups in churches, neighborhoods, and communities. She has written a book titled Prayer Activation: Basic Prayer-Level 1, which is used as a workbook in training classes. Life Transformations for Women: Undergirding and Resourcing Women for Life empowers women to develop internal resources and talents and abilities, with God being their source. Practical life application of God’s Word in the midst of daily challenges encourages women to rise up and go beyond merely surviving to conquering and overcoming. Dr. Rambo speaks at weekend retreats, conferences, and workshops on a wide range of topics. She believes the Bible is God’s inerrant Word, and a relationship with Jesus Christ leads to salvation, peace, and prosperity. She also believes God is the Restorer of the soul and He desires for people to enjoy abundant life.
